1. How much is a photo session?
Sitting fees start at $300.00 includes time , travel and a fun session. My goal is to have you and your pet enjoy the shoot so when you look at the final product on the wall you have fond memories of the day.

2.How much are enlargements?
Enlargement prices vary depending on paper and texture. This will be discussed with each individual order.

3. Where are you located?
I am based out of San Diego. Please contact me to discuss my travel schedule.

4. Do you shoot in a studio?
My talent is using natural light.  I love color and texture. I love the use of back lighting to accentuate fur. Even my black and white work is shot outside with the use of natural light. This is more difficult for me ...controlling a moving animal and variable lighting but this is my job and I LOVE IT!  I use my yard as a natural light studio or I travel to the client. Cats are most often shot inside the owners house. I use natural light near windows although some cats are captured in closets or under beds.  I get the job done by making the animal feel comfortable. It may take a while, I do not rush the process. I often meet canine clients at dog beach or a dog friendly park. Horses are most exclusively photographed in their own environment.
Some of my commercial work is shot inside the studio with artificial lighting. This option is available to all clients but my preference is using natural light to capture animals. However YOU are hiring ME so you can choose.

5. How long will the shoot take?
I usually tell clients to plan at least one hour. I do not rush. I work alone. I do not use an assistant or props. I am typically most comfortable alone with the animal. The owner is welcome to stay and watch but I use my time to build trust with the animal. I want the animal( and the owner) to have a fun experience , nothing about the process should be stressful.

6. Can I get in the photo with my animal?
Yes, of course.

7.Do you shoot film or digital?
I shoot digital. Film by request with an additional fee.

8. Do you have commercial clients?
Yes. I have a very successful stock image business. I work with large corporations and marketing agencies. Please contact me for details.

9. Why do you photograph just animals?
Children and animals are my passion. I grew up with a house full of animals and few things in life bring me as much pleasure as the company of animals! I also believe in the healing power of animals. I am a cancer survivor and have endured  very difficult life circumstances....animals have nurtured me through every step. I am most proud of a published article in the Journal of Holistic Nursing. The study was performed here in San Diego at Children's Hospital. The study documented the decreased need for pain medication when children were given access to canine visits.
My animal portrait business fuels my rescue work. I feel the need to do my part to protect and payback animals for all they have given me.I am committed to helping all animals live in  safe and loving environments.
